Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Dietary Cook to join our food services team. Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including entrees, sides, and desserts, according to standardized recipes and diet orders
Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to food safety guidelines and regulations
Work efficiently to meet production deadlines and ensure timely meal service
Collaborate with the nutrition team to develop and implement special diets and menus
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, residents, and staff, ensuring their dietary needs are met and exceeded
Inventory and order food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
0 years of experience in food service or a related field; culinary arts or nutrition education background preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, as well as stand for extended periods
Possess a valid food handler's certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire
