Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager (LPN/RN) to oversee the daily operations of an assigned nursing unit. This position is responsible for providing clinical leadership, supervising nursing staff, coordinating resident care, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and facility policies.

The ideal candidate is an organized, compassionate leader with experience in long-term care and a commitment to delivering high-quality resident care.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit.

  • Supervise and support nursing staff while promoting quality resident care.

  • Coordinate admissions, discharges, and resident care planning.

  • Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team.

  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Assist with survey readiness and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards of practice.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
