Housing Resource Specialist
Job Description
Purpose:
· To assist participants with maintaining housing resources; and promoting independent living.
Supervision Received:
· Receives direct supervision from Housing Resource Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
· N/A
Qualifications:
· B.A/B.S degree in Human Services/Social Sciences, Healthcare or a related field preferred, 3-4 years of experience in the MH/MR or related field, or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
· Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
· Detail oriented and very strong organizational skills.
· Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Excel.
· Must be available for local travel and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving
record (preferred).
Scope:
· Local travel required, including transporting program participants.
· Frequent talking and listening.
· Light lifting and/or carrying, not to exceed 25 lbs.
· Requires walking, climbing, bending, stooping, or kneeling associated with all building inspections and acquisitions.
· May require crisis intervention in emergency situations. May be required to report to work during emergencies, including inclement weather.
