It's about creating an environment where guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident in their stay.We're Looking for Someone Who:Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentationHas exceptional attention to detail and notices the things others may overlookHas strong leadership and communication skillsEnjoys coaching and helping team members improveIs comfortable providing constructive feedback and holding others accountableIs organized and able to prioritize competing responsibilitiesCan remain calm and professional in a fast-paced hotel environmentUnderstands the importance of guest satisfactionUses good judgment when addressing guest concerns or housekeeping issuesIs dependable, flexible, and willing to jump in wherever neededTakes ownership of their responsibilities and follows throughUnderstands the importance of safety, sanitation, and hotel operating standardsWorks well with Housekeeping, Front Desk, Maintenance, and other hotel departmentsWhat You'll DoAs a Housekeeping Inspector, you'll help oversee the daily operation of the Housekeeping Department and ensure our guest rooms and hotel spaces consistently meet Reikart House standards.Responsibilities include:Supervise and support Housekeeping Team members throughout the shiftProvide open communication, coaching, training, and performance feedback to team membersInspect guest rooms to ensure they meet hotel standards for cleanliness, presentation, and readinessInspect public areas, back-of-house areas, and other assigned spacesIdentify and communicate areas requiring additional cleaning or attentionAssign rooms and housekeeping duties based on daily operational needsReview special requests, VIP rooms, stayover requirements, and areas requiring additional attentionEnsure a smooth and efficient flow of the Housekeeping operationMonitor compliance with hotel Standard Operating Procedures, health and sanitation standards, and safety requirementsEnsure appropriate accident prevention and loss prevention procedures are followedDistribute supplies and equipment to Housekeeping Team members at the beginning of the shiftMonitor supply usage and help maintain appropriate inventory levelsAssist with controlling departmental expenses and minimizing unnecessary wasteRespond to guest requests, concerns, and housekeeping-related issues in a professional and timely mannerCommunicate guest concerns and maintenance issues to the appropriate departmentFollow proper Lost and Found procedures, including logging recovered items and responding to inquiriesAssist with emergency procedures and training to help protect guests, employees, the hotel, and company assetsAssist the evening Housekeeping Team with operational needs when necessary, including lobby cleaning, turndown service, and trash removalParticipate in special projects, hotel committees, and task force assignments as neededMaintain a professional and positive presence throughout the hotelPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedThe Ideal Candidate Is:Previous hotel housekeeping experience required or strongly preferredPrevious supervisory, lead, or inspection experience preferredStrong understanding of hotel housekeeping standards and proceduresDetail-oriented and committed to high standards of cleanlinessComfortable inspecting work and providing constructive feedbackConfident communicating with both employees and guestsAble to coach and develop team members in a positive and professional mannerAble to prioritize and delegate tasks effectivelyComfortable working independently while also being an active member of the Housekeeping TeamAble to handle guest concerns with professionalism and good judgmentDependable, organized, and flexibleComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAble to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays as neededAble to follow written and verbal instructionsComfortable using hotel systems, checklists, and other operational toolsNo formal degree required;
