ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
We have an immediate need for a Technical AI Requirements Systems Engineer. In this high-impact role, you will help oversee the planning, design, and implementation of a mission-critical system, bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI capability and enterprise software execution. You will work directly with customers, systems engineers, software developers, and AI solution stakeholders to ensure mission-driven software capabilities are accurately defined, built, tested, and delivered. If you are passionate about collaboratively solving complex technical challenges, tactically engaging with Agile development teams, and performing hands-on requirements definition and functional validation for enterprise applications integrating AI-enabled capabilities, this is the position for you.
The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$250,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Work Style: On-site with up to 1 day per week of telework flexibility available!
, Required SkillsSoftware Architecture Familiarity: Operational familiarity with software development using Java or JavaScript frameworks, RESTful microservices, and cloud-based deployments (Amazon Web Services).
Requirements Engineering: Proven ability to work directly with customers to elicit, analyze, and document detailed functional requirements and convert them into concrete technical specifications.
Agile Tooling: Experience translating high-level mission requirements into actionable user stories and epics within Jira.
Functional Testing: Hands-on experience conducting functional testing of enterprise application features and integrations.
Technical Communication Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to act as a primary technical liaison across multidisciplinary teams and articulate complex AI approaches, trade-offs, and design implications clearly.
AI/ML Awareness: Demonstrated awareness of modern AI/ML advancements and the ability to identify practical opportunities for enterprise application integration.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 7+ years of professional software engineering experience OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 11+ years of hands-on technical software development experience in lieu of a degree.
AI Artifact Design: Experience designing or refining technical artifacts, architecture diagrams, and specification documents specifically for AI/ML integration.
AI Evaluation Trade-off Analysis: Ability to evaluate AI architectures, assess model performance, and analyze system-level integration trade-offs.
End-to-End AI Lifecycle Management: Experience coordinating the design and development of AI-driven solutions from initial concept to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with existing software architectures.
Continuous Innovation: Active engagement with the latest AI/ML breakthroughs and a continuous drive to apply novel technologies to solve complex enterprise problems.
