Part Time Receptionist

Job Description:

The Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service and serve as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, employees, and the general public. The Receptionist will answer questions, provide information, direct visitors to the appropriate department or staff member, and assist with general administrative duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet residents, families, visitors, and employees in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and take accurate messages when needed.

  • Provide information and assistance to residents, visitors, and the general public.

  • Monitor and manage the front entrance and visitor sign-in process.

  • Assist visitors with locating residents, staff members, or departments.

  • Maintain a professional, clean, and welcoming reception area.

  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and other deliveries.

  • Assist with general clerical and administrative tasks, including filing, copying, and data entry.

  • Maintain confidentiality of resident, employee, and facility information.

  • Assist with scheduling, appointments, and other administrative needs as assigned.

  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and management.

  • Follow all facility policies and procedures, including safety and security requirements.

  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the facility.

  • Respond to resident and visitor concerns appropriately and notify the appropriate department or supervisor when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous receptionist, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to greet and interact professionally with residents, families, visitors, and staff.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a busy environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Must be dependable, professional, and able to work well independently and as part of a team.

  • Minimum 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Hours for this position:

  • Mondays & Wednesdays: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Every Other Weekend: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Every Other Holiday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
