MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are NOW HIRING for a 2nd Shift Production Team Lead position in the Indianapolis area!
Position Details
  • Job Title: Production Team Lead
  • Shift: 2nd Shift, 4:00 PM - 3:00 AM
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime as needed on Saturdays
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
  • Location: Park 100 Area, Indianapolis, IN
Position Summary
The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading production employees, assigning daily tasks, supporting production operations, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, manufacturing experience, and the ability to effectively communicate and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This description is intended to provide a general overview of responsibilities and is not limited to the duties listed below.
  • Lead and support production employees by assigning and monitoring daily tasks.
  • Operate production equipment according to On-the-Job Training (OJT) guidelines and machine operating procedures.
  • Perform machine setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting in accordance with work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including:
  • Maintain 6S standards throughout the production area.
  • Assist with production operations as needed to support workflow and efficiency.
  • Understand and maintain all product quality standards, including traceability codes, trilingual codes, and GHS pictograms.
  • Perform flushing processes according to established work instructions.
  • Fill containers and monitor production line operations.
  • Rotate to other production lines as needed based on operational demands.
  • Perform manual production tasks when required, including:
  • Complete additional projects and assignments as directed by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
  • Experience troubleshooting production equipment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and support employees.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to learn quickly.
  • Ability to interpret equipment gauges, monitors, and production data.
  • Knowledge of production equipment operations and functionality.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work mandatory overtime when required.
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently, and safely in a team environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, and repetitive movements.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently climb stairs in designated work areas.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
  • Safety Glasses/Eye Protection
  • Hearing Protection (required in designated areas)
  • Safety Footwear (required in designated areas)
