FABRICATION TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose: Responsible for the fabrication, installation, rebuild, assembly, and/or troubleshooting of ingredient feeders, chlorine systems/components, and other REPCO miscellaneous equipment for REPCO customers.
Essential Functions:
-Fabricate, assemble, install, rebuild, and/or troubleshoot ingredient feeders, chlorine systems, and custom equipment as needed to meet customer requirements.
-Develop and maintain a working knowledge of production processes and products in flour mills as it relates to equipment needs.
-Order, receive, and ship parts to customers and/or technicians in the field.
-Provide support to the Mill Service Team as needed.
-Responsible for packing equipment in preparation for shipment.
-Promotes and demonstrates without fail all good manufacturing practices to further include sanitation activities and record keeping to enforce a safe work environment.
-Must be available for occasional travel as needed.
-Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization’s objectives.

-High School Diploma or GED; Technical College certification preferred.
-Pass internal fabrication test to include welding, layout, blueprint reading, etc.
-2+ years of industrial maintenance, fabrication, assembly, welding, and/or millwork experience. Stainless steel/aluminum welding experience will be preferred.
Technology and Tools:
-Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and DHL shipping software.
-Excellent experience in knowledge and working with hand tools, lathes, mill presses, welders, etc.
-Working knowledge in process controls such as pressure, flow, levels, and speed.
-Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to hear and talk; regularly required to sit, stand and walk; occasionally required to climb staircases, ramps, or similar building structures; occasionally required to make repeated movements; specific vision abilities include color, ability to see up-close and to see from a distance. Personal protective equipment is available when required or requested. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work indoors and outdoors. The employee is regularly exposed to dust/dirt, loud noise, and odors or fumes. The employee may be exposed to extreme heat, confined space, and poor lighting. The employee may work in an elevated workplace and be exposed to mechanical, electrical, and fire hazards.
