We are accepting applications for Marine Environmental Technicians. The successful candidate must have prior construction or maritime experience. This person will report to the company’s Environmental Operations Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Small vessel operation;
- Skilled equipment operations include but are not limited to forklift, pump operations, hand tools (Hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and gas-powered), and heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, and backhoes).
- Welding and cutting;
- Oil Spill response;
- Deploying, retrieval, and processing of sorbent materials;
- Boom deployment and retrieval;
- Boom and fender maintenance;
- Driving/positioning company vehicles;
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- All employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a valid driver license, valid car insurance, and submit an acceptable driving record for the past three years
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC Card
- Ability to work in all weather conditions; rain, sleet, storm, snow, heat, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently; up to 75lbs occasionally
- 24hour and 7 days a week availability based upon project or emergency response needs
Preferred Experience:
- 1-3 years experience in the maritime industry or construction industry
- First/Aid CPR
- HAZWOPER
- Current Passport
- Boaters Card (Washington state boater’s card)
- USCG License
- TWIC
JOB LOCATION: Neah Bay, WA
This is a seasonal, non-exempt, hourly position. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
Pay range: $60-$70/hr. Not benefits eligible
