The Dietary Aide helps provide nutritious, appetizing meals while creating a welcoming dining experience for our residents. Working as part of the Food & Nutrition Services team, you'll assist with meal preparation, tray service, dining room support, sanitation, and kitchen organization to ensure every resident receives quality meals in a clean and safe environment.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with meal preparation under the direction of the Dietary Manager or Cook
Prepare salads, desserts, beverages, snacks, and other non-entrée food items
Portion and serve meals according to resident diet orders
Set up and deliver meal trays accurately and efficiently
Assist residents during meal service as appropriate
Prepare and label nourishments according to facility procedures
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
Stock food and supplies throughout the kitchen
Follow production sheets, recipes, and food preparation guidelines
Practice proper food safety, infection prevention, and sanitation procedures
Work collaboratively with nursing and dietary staff to provide exceptional resident service
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Previous food service, restaurant, dietary, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
Long-term care, rehabilitation, healthcare, or senior living experience is a plus, but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
