We are partnering with a national manufacturing company on a Production Supervisor opportunity at one of their larger facilities in Delaware County, NY. This onsite position will support the 3rd shift. Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day production operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and performance targets are consistently met.
- Manage daily production schedules, staffing levels, labor hours, team assignments, and workflow to meet safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals.
- Track key performance metrics such as OEE, downtime, labor efficiency, and production volume to identify improvement opportunities.
- Coach and develop production employees while managing attendance, performance, training, and accountability.
- Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve operational issues and minimize disruptions.
- Maintain compliance with safety, food safety, GMP, quality, and operational standards across the production team.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, minimize downtime and waste, and improve overall operating performance.
- Review production documentation and maintain accurate operational and employee records.
- Utilize ERP and production systems to monitor performance and support operational decisions.
- Promote a strong safety culture through proactive leadership, employee engagement, and consistent enforcement of standards.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Must be able to work Thursday through Saturday 6:00pm-6:30am and rotating every other Wednesday
- 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or production
- Associate’s degree in Operations Management or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing frontline employees.
- Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, workplace safety, and manufacturing procedures.
- Understanding of production metrics such as OEE, downtime, labor efficiency, productivity, and cost.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience identifying and addressing operational issues.
- Experience with ERP or production management systems; SAP is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and weekends as needed to support production demands.
