About the Role:
As an Activities Assistant at Las Colinas of Westover Hills, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Planning and coordinating activities, such as crafts, games, and exercise classes, to meet the diverse needs of our residents
• Setting up and cleaning activity areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
• Encouraging resident engagement and participation in activities
• Transporting participants to and from activities
• Documenting attendance and adapting events to meet the unique physical or cognitive needs of our residents
• Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement activity programs
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent required
0 years of experience preferred, but not required
Outgoing and fun personality essential
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
