Job Description

Join Our Team as a Property Manager! - South Florida Auto Auction | Lauderdale Lakes, FL

Who We Are (And Why You'll Love It Here!)

South Florida Auto Auction (SFLAA) is a key hub for dealers and industry professionals across South Florida, offering a fast-paced, high-energy environment where every auction day depends on a well-run, well-maintained facility. As part of Auto Auction Holdings, we take pride in providing a clean, safe, and professional environment for our employees, dealers, and visitors alike.

We're looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Property Manager to keep our grounds, buildings, and facility systems running at their best — if you love solving problems, take pride in a well-kept property, and want your work to directly support a business that never slows down, this is the role for you!

What Makes This Role Special

This isn't a desk job — you'll be all over the property, making sure buildings, lots, lanes, and common areas are safe, functional, and ready for auction day. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be the go-to person for facility upkeep, vendor coordination, and property-wide safety, working closely with operations, reconditioning, and yard teams to keep everything running smoothly.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the auction property, including buildings, parking lots, lanes, offices, and common areas
  • Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements to ensure operational efficiency
  • Manage vendor relationships, including landscaping, security, cleaning services, waste management, and equipment maintenance
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, or compliance issues
  • Ensure all grounds, signage, lighting, and infrastructure are maintained to company standards
  • Support auction operations by keeping lanes, staging areas, and traffic flow properly maintained and organized
  • Coordinate with operations, reconditioning, and yard teams to support auction day readiness
  • Monitor and maintain facility systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, vendor services, and property-related expenses
  • Respond promptly to facility-related issues, emergencies, or service requests
  • Championing a safe workplace and make safety the highest priority on the property
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures

What We're Looking For (The Must-Haves)

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial, automotive, or large-facility environment
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet auto insurance guidelines to operate a company-owned vehicle

The Perfect Personality Match

We're looking for someone who:

  • Takes ownership of the property and treats it like it's their own
  • Stay calm and solutions-focused when something needs fixing fast
  • Is comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities across a large property
  • Build strong working relationships with vendors, teammates, and other departments
  • Leads with safety in everything they do
  • Doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves and working outdoors in all types of weather

The Good Stuff (AKA Your Compensation & Perks!)

  • What You’ll Earn: Competitive salary wage based on experience
  • Sweet Bonus: Opportunities for extra cash throughout the year!

Benefits That Actually Matter:

  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability insurance for peace of mind
  • Paid time off (because everyone needs a break!)
  • Real opportunities for career growth and advancement
  • Employee assistance program — we're here for you beyond work too
