Golden Pavilion Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN or LVN/LPN to serve as our Infection Preventionist / Director of Staff Development (DSD). This dual-role position oversees infection prevention while leading employee education, orientation, competency, and ongoing staff development.

Infection Prevention:
Lead and maintain the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program
Conduct infection surveillance, audits, and outbreak investigations
Monitor compliance with infection prevention, isolation, and safety practices
Coordinate NHSN reporting and required infection prevention documentation
Provide infection prevention education and training
Support QAPI and regulatory compliance initiatives
Staff Development:
Lead new-hire orientation and ongoing staff education
Develop and conduct required in-services and annual training
Assess and validate staff competencies
Maintain employee training and competency records
Identify educational needs based on audits, incidents, survey findings, and quality data
Prepare staff for regulatory surveys and ensure required training is completed
Active, unrestricted RN or LVN/LPN license
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
Infection Prevention and/or Staff Development experience preferred
At least 1 year of healthcare leadership or supervisory experience
Experience with infection surveillance, outbreak investigation, and staff education
Knowledge of CDC, CMS, OSHA, and California healthcare regulations
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and clinical skills
