Administrative Assistant
Job Description
The administrative assistant is a crucial team member to the parish office, the first face to welcome and greet visitors. The receptionist serves as the filter to the in-person traffic and communications into the parish office; while aids in regular recording, communicating, and preparations for Parish operations and events.
-Collaboration with Pastor & Staff for better function &
operations of office.
- Greet & welcome guests as soon as they arrive
- Handle telephone & in-person inquiries from visitors
- Answer, screen & forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via
phone/email
- Receive and distribute mail & deliveries
- Maintain contracts – weddings/ Quinceañeras/ baptisms/
funerals/ presentations
- Coordinating & scheduling for priests & parish events
-Maintain respect for the rules and regulations of the Church
-Administrative Duties to support the church groups – copies and notifications
- Administrative Duties to support the church groups
Bilingual – English | Spanish
Knowledge of basic office equipment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications & Programs
Professional, Attitude & Appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
High school degree
Flexibility with work schedule
