Our mission is to provide customers with the highest quality food products at competitive prices while delivering exceptional service.Our headquarters is located in Holtsville, Long Island, with additional distribution locations in New Jersey and Massachusetts.We are currently seeking dependable CDL Class A Delivery Drivers to safely operate refrigerated commercial vehicles and deliver food products throughout the Tri-State area.Why Work at DiCarlo?Competitive $300 per day training pay period; prior to transitioning into incentive-based pay with earnings potential up to $100,000 annually100 percent company-paid pension plan, health, dental, vision, and Life insuranceAssigned routes and equipmentHome dailyPaid vacation, sick time, and holidaysEmployee discount programsEmployee recognition and service awardsKey ResponsibilitiesSafely operate assigned commercial vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and company regulationsPerform touch freight deliveries by delivering and unloading food products using a hand truck or manual pallet jack into designated customer storage areasVerify product accuracy and obtain customer signatures for deliveryCollect payment from customers when requiredCommunicate route, product, vehicle, or customer issues to dispatchReport accidents, traffic violations, roadside inspections, or safety concernsMaintain a professional and customer service-focused attitude while representing the companyMinimum Requirements21+ years of ageValid CDL Class A license requiredAbility to obtain or currently hold a non-excepted interstate DOT medical cardAbility to regularly lift and move 50 pounds or more during deliveriesStrong commitment to safety and reliabilityRegular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the positionAbility to communicate in English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete required reports and records in accordance with Department of Transportation regulationsMust pass background screening, including employment verification and criminal history, along with a drug screeningThis position is regulated by the DOT and drivers must maintain a safe driving record and meet the company standards at all times.Preferred QualificationsOne year of commercial driving experience within the last three years preferredClean DOT driving record preferredExperience with local or multi stop delivery routesExperience of delivery in food distribution or similar delivery environmentsCustomer service-oriented attitudePhysical RequirementsDrivers must be able to see and hear clearly, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and entering or exiting the vehicle.
