Overview
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) typically services long term care and nursing facilities and is now hiring a Director of Clinical Operations (Registered Dietitian) in your area!
This role will oversee clinical operations for MA, CT and RI area.
(The territory can be adjusted base on operational needs)
**This position comes with a base salary, bonus and a potential car. **
Responsibilities
- Ability to build, direct and manage a regional scalable clinical staffing business servicing the long term and post-acute care industry.
- Works and communicates with Human Resources and other stakeholders in Bensalem, PA as well as in the field to recruit, hire, and train team members.
- Assigns work schedules and area of responsibility to Registered Dietitians to ensure appropriate and compliant clinical coverage within client facilities. Conducts performance evaluations in accordance with Company policy.
- Follows guidelines and limits the parameters allowing for use of external contract RDN services and participates in Company record-keeping systems when utilized.
- Works with Human Resources and other stakeholders to implement a retention strategy for the Registered Dietitian team to minimize turnover. Retention activities include, but not limited to:
- Routine group communication regarding company policies and activities.
- Periodic meetings either in-person or via electronic methods (Blackboard Collaborate) for team building, engagement, and educational presentations according to national and state requirements.
- Participate in the budget and oversight processes, including:
- Monitors and approves area of oversight expenses according to Company policy including:
- Labor hours and dollars, including ensuring PBJ compliance
- Contract services – with approval
- Supplies
- Travel
- Education and Training
- Recruitment – with HR
- Other
- Monitors and approves revenue targets for:
- Internal HCSG dining accounts
- External contract RDN service strategy and growtt
- Monitors and approves area of oversight expenses according to Company policy including:
- Utilizes and keeps up to date Company-approved systems to track and manage financial performance to budget.
- Displays in-depth knowledge of Mealtracker and demonstrates ability to manage clinical requirements through the system, as well as support menu and diet extensions for operationally developed menus.
- Communicates, develops and implements corrective action plans as necessary in coordination with the human resources department.
- Provides oversight for full compliance with Company programs, policies and procedures and standards of ethics.
- Conducts ongoing review of audit and quality monitoring measurements and regulatory performance data to assure that quality targets and thresholds are consistently met.
- Seeks and provides direction and support regarding regulatory compliance.
- Functions as clinical support, seeking input from internal stakeholders and supporting HCSG operations with the clinical leader(s) of the client organizations as required.
- Participates in quarterly business review meetings with clients as needed.
- Collaborates with the HCSG Sales, Marketing and Learning and Development Teams to support new revenue opportunities for full service Dining or Clinical Services.
- Participates in corporate work groups, as requested, for strategic planning and product development relative to clinical policies and procedures, clinical infrastructure and process improvement.
- Participates in operational meetings for strategic planning and performance review.
- Supports operations to ensure sound clinical practices are integrated / reflected in food handling, preparation, service and delivery.
- Manages and directs special projects within area of responsibility as
- Able to effectively communicate (both written and oral) with clients, physicians, staff, residents, residents’ families, consultants, and corporate staff with respect to clinical aspect of dietary services.
- Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures for workplace safety, which includes but is not limited to infection control procedures and application of universal
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed in Dietetics by the state, as applicable.
- Must have, as a minimum, 3-5 years of dietary experience in long term care with managerial clinical and food services responsibilities.
- Combination of Management and Clinical experience is required
- Self-starter, capable of leading, directing, and supporting a team in a diverse environment with highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
- Must stay abreast of regulations affecting the industry and identify issues and implement necessary changes.
- Successful P&L and budgetary management
- Must be willing to travel based on operational needs
- Must submit to a Motor Vehicle Check and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- COVID-19 vaccine where required in accordance with State law and/or location preference.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 10 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 10 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
