Civil Excavation Equipment Operator & CDL-A Tanker Driver

At 7:00 AM, you roll onto the job site, run your pre-trip and safety checks, and set up for the day's dig plan. By 7:15, you're shaping grade with an excavator, coordinating with the crew, and keeping a sharp eye on underground utilities. This is hands-on civil work where precision, communication, and safety come first.

About the role

Express Employment is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator who can also drive with a CDL-A and Tanker Endorsement. You'll work across excavation and dirt work projects, operating a range of machines and performing safe trenching around utilities in all weather conditions.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $20–$23 per hour DOE
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Machines you’ll run

• Backhoe
• Excavators & Mini Excavators
• Skid Steers
• Trenchers

What you’ll tackle

• Earthmoving, trenching, and backfilling with tight tolerances
• Safe digging practices around marked and unmarked underground utilities
• Daily inspections and basic equipment troubleshooting
• Material handling and site support in changing weather conditions

What you bring

• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience
• Construction/dirt work background and knowledge of safe excavation & trenching
• CDL-A with Tanker Endorsement (required)
