Location: Oakes GMC | Kansas City, MO
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: $45,000 - $65,000 annually


About the Role

Oakes Auto Group is seeking a Parts Counterperson to support both our retail customers and internal service department. This role is responsible for helping customers and technicians find the right parts, maintaining inventory accuracy, processing warranty and core returns, and ensuring the parts department operates efficiently. What You’ll Do
  • Assist retail customers and dealership technicians at the parts counter

  • Look up, source, price, and order OEM and aftermarket parts

  • Process warranty claims, core returns, and maintain accurate parts records

  • Receive, stock, organize, and manage parts inventory

  • Support technicians and service advisors to keep repair orders moving efficiently

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department

  • Previous automotive parts experience is a plus, but not required


Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean or acceptable driving record

  • Ability to pass a standard background check

  • Strong reliability and consistent attendance

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment

  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems

  • Previous parts, automotive, retail, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred but not required
