They also manage seating charts, respond to guest inquiries and phone calls, and assists fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationshipsResponsibilities:Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude.Manage the seating chart and efficiently seat guests while balancing guest preferences and server sections.Provide accurate wait times and ensure guests are comfortable during their wait.Answer phone calls, take reservations, and manage the guest list.Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including the host stand and entryway.Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and managers to ensure a seamless guest experience.Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.Assist with other tasks as needed, including helping with special events.Qualifications:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for customer service.Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a busy environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required.Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical Demands:Regular lifting, moving and carrying of items weighing up to 30 pounds across the restaurantRegular and prolonged standing and walking inside and outside the restaurant during a 6-8 hour shift with appropriate breaksRegular ascending/descending stairsRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingersFrequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and armsDisclaimer: The above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; and is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
