NETA 3 - Field Supervisor

Shamrock Consulting
Seattle, WA, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description

Shamrock Business Consulting is a direct-hire recruiting firm focused exclusively on the power, construction, and mission-critical industries. We partner with electrical testing, engineering, and utility-services companies across the country to connect them with technicians who keep the grid running safely. When you apply through Shamrock, you work directly with a recruiter who understands the trade and will walk you through the process from first call to first day — no resume black hole, no runaround.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Twelve months in, success looks like independently leading test crews on moderately complex projects, evaluating test data on medium- and high-voltage systems against NETA and manufacturer standards, and mentoring Level I and II technicians in the field.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Independently perform acceptance and maintenance testing on medium- and high-voltage equipment (600V and above), including switchgear, transformers, protective relays, and circuit breakers

  • Evaluate test data against manufacturer and NETA standards, and flag equipment that doesn't meet acceptance criteria

  • Supervise and mentor Level I and Level II technicians on-site

  • Perform electrical power switching operations as required

  • Prepare and review technical reports for client delivery

  • Coordinate directly with project managers and clients on job scope, scheduling, and findings

  • Maintain rigorous safety standards on every site throughout the greater Seattle / Puget Sound area, including complex lockout/tagout and arc-flash procedures

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

  • NETA Level III certification (5 years of related field experience, 64 hours safety training, 400 hours electrical training)

  • Demonstrated experience testing medium- and high-voltage equipment

  • Ability to independently interpret test data and write clear technical reports

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the region

Preferred:

  • Experience supervising field crews

  • Familiarity with utility and mission-critical (data center) testing environments

  • Associate degree or higher in electrical technology or a related field
