Quality Supervisor

We are partnering with a national manufacturing company on a Quality Supervisor opportunity supporting one of their larger manufacturing facilities in Delaware County, NY. This onsite role will support the D shift, which operates Thursday through Saturday and rotating every other Wednesday for the site. The position has the ability to make a positive impact on the overall plant operations by maximizing product quality and overall productivity. This position reports to the Quality Manager and offers strong long-term growth opportunities within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen operational performance while consistently delivering against product quality expectations.
  • Promote compliance with established operating practices related to food safety, product quality, workplace safety, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Help manage and strengthen site Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs, including process controls, product protection, specifications, sanitation, HACCP, GMPs, labeling, warehousing, and distribution requirements to ensure company and customer standards are achieved.
  • Plan departmental staffing and work schedules based on production needs, workload, priorities, and required labor hours.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, equipment effectiveness, productivity, and finished-product quality, and partner with appropriate teams to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Investigate production, quality, and food-safety concerns, determine contributing factors, and provide hands-on support to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of required quality, food safety, compliance, and operational documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with supervisors and leaders across departments to align production activities, priorities, resources, and plant objectives.
  • Lead the day-to-day activities of assigned team members, including scheduling, coaching, performance feedback, employee development, retention, and corrective action when necessary. In a union environment, participate in grievance discussions and other matters governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
  • Train and coach employees on quality standards, food-safety practices, operating procedures, and company policies, while reinforcing consistent execution and accountability across the team.
  • Provide effective people and operational leadership through planning, prioritizing, organizing, evaluating performance, coordinating resources, and delegating responsibilities to support departmental and facility goals.



Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work D Shift- Thursday thru Saturday 6:00pm-6:30am and rotating every other Wednesday
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Biology, or another related scientific discipline is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and their application within a regulated production environment.
  • Understanding of sanitation, food safety, and quality systems, with the ability to recognize compliance gaps, communicate concerns, and ensure corrective actions are appropriately addressed.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications and other computer-based systems used to support manufacturing, quality, and administrative activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Flexible and adaptable leadership style with the ability to respond effectively to changing production demands, business priorities, and organizational needs while helping employees navigate change.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong planning and prioritization skills.
  • Collaborative, hands-on leader who can build productive relationships across Quality, Production, Operations, Sanitation, Maintenance, and other functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to evaluate information, identify underlying issues, interpret data, and develop sound conclusions and solutions.
