Emery Air, LLC. is seeking several Part-Time Passenger Service Agents to join our team. This is a non-benefit-eligible position with a varying schedule that will require flexible availability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect and verify passenger documentation for international and domestic flights.
- Checks passengers in at ticket counter and gate and distributes boarding passes for outgoing flights.
- Checks passenger baggage and places bag tags on them at the ticket counter for the appropriate destination.
- Make announcements regarding flight activities at the gate or over the airport’s general PA System.
- Manage passenger baggage processing including handling and fee calculation if applicable.
- Handle customer complaints regarding ticketing and baggage handling when problems arise (i.e., lost baggage, lost/misplaced tickets, canceled or delayed flights).
- Answers customers’ inquiries regarding flight schedules, fares, space availability for a particular flight and other questions that may arise.
- Assist passengers as needed through arrival and check in processes including support for passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers, and passengers needing wheelchair assistance.
- Assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers, and gate checked bags (cleared through security) are made available for loading upon departure and delivery to passengers upon arrival.
- Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements.
- Operate equipment to include jetway, computer keyboards, and carrier specific reservation/ticketing software.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Must possess at least a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous ticket reservation experience is preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have the ability to clear/ maintain a fingerprint based, 10-year criminal background check as necessary for FAA, TSA, and Port Authority and be able to obtain/maintain airport security clearance.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Greet and assist all passengers in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Must have the ability to learn airline specific airline computer reservation/ticketing software.
