We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position involves traveling with a medical provider to nursing homes and assisted living facilities to assist with scheduled patient visits.
The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and be comfortable driving to multiple facilities.
Two weeks of hands-on training will be provided at our clinic before beginning facility visits. Training will cover our EMR, documentation, patient preparation, provider support, and facility workflow.

Responsibilities
- Travel with the provider to assigned nursing homes and assisted living facilities
- Prepare patient schedules, charts, notes, and documentation before visits
- Assist the provider during patient rounds and examinations
- Obtain and document vital signs and basic patient information when needed
- Coordinate with nursing staff regarding scheduled patients and records
- Track lab results, diagnostic testing, orders, and follow-ups
- Assist with prescriptions and basic medical office duties as directed
- Prepare medical equipment and supplies for facility visits
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Communicate with the clinic and facility staff regarding patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
- Complete follow-up tasks after facility visits
- Valid driver’s license – required
- Reliable personal vehicle – required
- Willing and able to drive to nursing homes and assisted living facilities
- Medical Assistant education or experience preferred
- CMA and/or BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with elderly patients
- Basic computer/EMR skills
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
