Job Description

Job Description
  • Pre-Washing & Rinsing: Spraying down cars to remove loose dirt, bird droppings, and debris, with a focus on cleaning tires and wheels first.
  • Washing: Hand-washing or utilizing automated machinery, scrubbing with soap, and ensuring all areas are reached.
  • Drying & Finishing: Using microfiber towels or air blowers to dry vehicles, cleaning windows, and applying tire shine.
  • Interior Detailing: Vacuuming seats, carpets, and trunks, and removing trash.
  • Facility Maintenance: Keeping the wash bay, vacuum areas, and equipment clean and orderly.
Key Techniques for New Employees
  • Top-Down Method: Always start washing from the top of the vehicle and work down to the dirtier lower panels to prevent scratching.
  • Two-Bucket Method: Use one bucket for soapy water and another to rinse your mitt, ensuring you never put a dirty mitt back into the soap.
  • Straight Line Cleaning: Use straight, back-and-forth motions instead of circles to avoid creating swirl marks on the paint.
  • Wheel First: Always clean wheels first as they are the dirtiest, keeping brake dust away from the car’s clean body.
Key Attributes
  • Speed & Efficiency: Maintaining a steady, fast pace during peak hours.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, dampness).
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring no streaks are left on windows and no spots are missed.
