Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA
Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000 / Annually
Work Schedule: 8:30am – 5:30pm
On-Site or Hybrid: Hybrid – In office 3 days per week

Job Description

Responsibilities
- Support month-end close activities, including preparing and analyzing financial results
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Analyze financial activity, investigate variances, and support accurate and timely financial reporting
- Assist with inventory reconciliations, discrepancy research, and related reserve analysis
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly close cycle
- Maintain fixed asset accounting and reconciliations in accordance with company capitalization policies
- Research unusual financial activity and partner with leadership to resolve accounting issues
- Respond to accounting and financial questions in a timely and professional manner
- Contribute to the development of efficient accounting processes and strong internal controls
- Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes (preferred)
- Experience in a decentralized or operationally-focused business environment (a plus)
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large data sets and financial analysis
- Ability to understand operational drivers behind financial results and investigate unusual activity
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Coachable, with a willingness to learn and grow in responsibility over time
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
