Key Responsibilities• Dishwashing & Sanitation
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans throughout the shift.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, kitchen equipment, and food preparation spaces.
• Follow Mosaic’s cleaning schedules and complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation checklists.
• Use proper techniques for handling, washing, and sanitizing kitchen tools and equipment in compliance with state and Mosaic standards.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and chemicals are used safely and according to OSHA and infection control guidelines.
• Return all cleaned dishes and utensils to their proper storage locations in a timely manner.
• Equipment & Supply Support
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and safely storing deliveries as directed by the Dining Services Manager or Cook.
• Monitor dishwashing equipment for proper operation and promptly report malfunctions or safety concerns.
Food Service & Resident Experience
• Assist with meal preparation and service in accordance with established menus and resident dietary needs.
• Serve meals promptly, ensuring correct portions, accurate orders, and presentation standards are met.
• Provide respectful, courteous, and personalized service to residents, guests, and staff.
• Ensure special diets, allergies, and texture modifications are followed accurately for each resident.
• Monitor resident satisfaction during mealtimes and report concerns promptly to the Dining Services Manager.
• Accurately record employee and resident guest meals daily to support cost tracking and billing.
• Assist residents with meal selections when needed, ensuring their preferences are honored.
• Cleaning & Sanitation
• Clean and maintain the dining room, kitchen, and food service areas according to Mosaic’s cleanliness standards.
Qualifications & Skills• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to prepare, serve, and handle food safely and efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40-50 pounds routinely.
• Willingness to complete required Mosaic and state-mandated training.
• Prior experience in dining, food service, or hospitality.
