Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:
  • Within the framework of our policies and procedures, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing professional-level human resources support in multiple functional areas including recruiting, employee relations, training, policy development, compliance, and HR systems administration.
  • Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and supervisors by providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and coordination of onboarding and orientation.
  • Support the Director of HR in administering and communicating company policies and programs to ensure consistency and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide HR support to both Seyer-St. Peters and Seyer-Cuba locations, including maintaining consistent communication and coordination between sites.
  • Administer and maintain HR systems, including employee records, HR Actions, and workflow processes in UKG.
  • Lead and support HR initiatives that enhance process efficiency, such as paperless workflows and electronic documentation.
  • Participate in GEMBA walks and other cross-department activities to maintain visibility, build relationships, and increase business acumen across all areas of the company.
  • Serve as an active member of the Social Media and Marketing Team to promote employment opportunities, strengthen employer branding, and support recruitment initiatives.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to identify workforce needs and develop proactive staffing and retention strategies.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors regarding performance management, corrective actions, and development opportunities.
  • Conduct and document internal investigations as assigned, maintaining confidentiality and fairness.
  • Assist with the creation, review, and revision of policies and procedures to support compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide meaningful reports and insights to the HR Director and leadership team.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and wage and hour laws.
  • Support and promote the company’s culture and core values by fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace.
  • Contribute to HR strategic planning efforts and identify opportunities to strengthen HR’s role in business success.
  • Answer employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Process all new hire paperwork.
  • Maintains working knowledge of payroll procedures and provides backup support during absences or as assigned.
  • Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional-level HR experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions.Consistent and dependable attendance
