Shift Lead/Manager at Firehouse Subs Pacific Commons

Firehouse Subs Pacific Commons in Fremont, CA is looking for one shift lead/manager to join our 15-person strong team. We are located on 43344 Boscell Rd. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assigning Tasks
• Training: Provide guidance and training to new employees or those needing improvement.
• Monitoring Performance: Ensure that employees follow proper procedures, maintain quality standards, and provide excellent customer service.
• Quality Control: Check that food is prepared correctly, presented well, and served in a timely manner.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that food handling, storage, and cooking procedures meet health and safety standards.
• Handling Complaints: Address and resolve customer complaints or issues.
• Enhancing Experience: Ensure customers have a positive dining experience by overseeing service quality.
• Opening/Closing Duties: Handle tasks such as setting up the restaurant for service or closing down at the end of the day.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed, or report shortages to management.
• Cash Handling: Manage the cash register, process payments, and ensure accurate end-of-shift cash counts.
• Liaison Between Staff and Management: Communicate any issues, updates, or important information to higher management.
• Team Coordination: Ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
• Quick Decision-Making: Handle unexpected situations, such as equipment malfunctions, staff shortages, or a sudden rush of customers.
• Conflict Resolution: Mediate any conflicts that arise among staff or with customers.
• Sanitation: Ensure the restaurant meets cleanliness standards, from the dining area to the kitchen.
• Restocking and Organization: Keep supplies and equipment organized and readily accessible.
• Shift Reports: Provide detailed reports on sales, customer feedback, staffing issues, and other relevant information to the management.
• Incident Reporting: Document any accidents, injuries, or significant incidents that occur during the shift.
