Caseworker – Residential Facility


Location: Columbus Ohio
Job Type: Full-Time (In-person)
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM


Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Case Worker to support youth through individualized treatment planning, case management, therapeutic interventions, and structured programming within a residential treatment setting. This role is responsible for helping youth achieve treatment goals while maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment that promotes wellness and positive development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assume primary responsibility for youth assigned to a caseload and conduct weekly case management sessions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans with input from youth, families, referral sources, mental health professionals, and clinical leadership.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group activities and skill-building interventions as assigned.
  • Provide for the health, safety, security, and appropriate social interaction of youth in placement.
  • Facilitate family skill-building sessions and maintain communication with families and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of clinical and administrative documentation, including:
    • Progress Notes
    • Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
    • Treatment Plan Reviews (TPRs)
    • Discharge Summaries
    • Major Unusual Incident (MUI) Reports
  • Demonstrate professional conduct and serve as a positive role model for youth and peers.
  • Present clinical information to referral sources, family members, and courts as required.
  • Plan and implement therapeutic, recreational, educational, and seasonal activities on-site and in the community.
  • Utilize therapeutic interventions to address behavioral challenges and support positive outcomes.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Maintain organized client records and electronic documentation within the EMR system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.


Qualifications


Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; OR
  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in childcare or youth services.


Experience

  • Prior counseling, case management, or behavioral health experience preferred
  • Experience working with adolescents strongly preferred


Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of therapeutic treatment approaches and behavioral interventions.
  • Awareness of OCYF regulations related to juvenile rehabilitation.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport and maintain professional relationships with youth, families, and referral sources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
