Responsibilities
This position is responsible for preparing files for Charge Off, maintaining records of recovery payments and accounts, balancing daily and month end reports.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner.
- Prepare/process accounts for Charge Off and Charge Off reversals.
- Maintain spreadsheet of Recovery payments and Charge Off accounts, which includes updating shared spreadsheets.
- Balance daily Recovery and Charge Off GL accounts.
- Prepare month end reports for Recovery and Charge Offs.
- Submit invoices to AP and verify to Charge Off accounts.
- Other duties as assigned and assists with special projects.
Ancillary Duties:
- As an integral member of the Collections Department, this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Collections Department and the Bank in achieving their annual goals.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Requirements:
- A High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates Degree in Business or Finance preferred.
Skills:
- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, organization skills, strong typing and computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Moderate writing skills.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of collection/banking or equivalent experience preferred.
- All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
