Laundry Aide

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Laundry Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident laundry while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily laundry duties (wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing)

• Sort soiled laundry and handle items that need special care

• Ensure clean laundry is delivered to the appropriate areas

• Keep laundry room, equipment, and work areas clean and organized

• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE

• Report equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisor

• Maintain adequate supply of linens and laundry items

• Complete required daily documentation

• Treat all residents with dignity and respect

• Follow all facility policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care preferred

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
