Job Description
Position Summary
The Facilities Driver supports the facilities department by transporting supplies, materials, and equipment between company facilities, vendors, and job sites. This role operates company pickup trucks, box trucks, and trucks with trailers and transports large equipment as needed. When transportation needs are limited, this position assists with organizing, receiving, storing, and maintaining supplies within the warehouse.

Shift: 6:30AM-2:30PM, Monday - Saturday

Essential ResponsibilitiesTransportation & Delivery
  • Pick up supplies, materials, parts, and equipment from vendors and deliver them to company facilities.
  • Safely operate company pickup trucks, box trucks, and other company vehicles.
  • Transport large equipment using company trucks and trailers.
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials.
  • Perform basic pre-trip inspections of company vehicles and trailers before use.
  • Ensure loads are properly secured and transported in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the facilities team regarding pickup and delivery priorities.
  • Communicate delivery status, delays, or transportation issues
  • Maintain company vehicles and trailers in a clean, organized condition.
Warehouse Support
  • Assist with organizing supplies, tools, parts, and materials in the warehouse.
  • Receive and properly store incoming supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse storage areas.
  • Assist with basic inventory organization and identification of materials.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for projects.
  • Support with other warehouse and maintenance-related duties as needed.
Facilities Support
  • Assist with operational needs when transportation and delivery responsibilities are limited.
  • Support facility projects and other department priorities as assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with facilities personnel to ensure materials and equipment are available when needed.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred) and clean driving record
  • Ability and willingness to safely operate pickup trucks, box trucks, and tow trailers
  • Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials and equipment.
  • Ability to transport large equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts.
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and enter and exit company vehicles.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and move supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials and equipment.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to travel between multiple company facilities, vendors, and job sites throughout the workday.
Work Environment
Work is performed across multiple company facilities, warehouses, vendor locations, and job sites. This role involves regular driving and may require operating company vehicles and trailers in varying weather and traffic conditions. Work may also involve exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, warehouse environments, and manufacturing operations. The position requires regular transition between driving, warehouse, and facilities support responsibilities based on department needs.
