About Origin Acoustics

Origin Acoustics is a leader in design-centric audio technology, creating innovative products that bring exceptional sound into beautifully designed spaces. We are passionate about craftsmanship, creativity, and developing solutions that empower our Custom Integrator partners to bring their customers' visions to life.

At Origin, we believe Details Matter. We put the customer first, challenge conventional thinking, and take pride in creating products that combine thoughtful design, advanced technology, and exceptional quality.

We're looking for people who enjoy building things, solving problems, learning new skills, and taking pride in the finished product.

About the Role

Origin Acoustics is seeking a skilled, hands-on Production Associate to join our Semi-Custom Production team at our Las Vegas headquarters.

This is a cross-functional position working throughout fabrication, finishing, and assembly. Cross-training in each area is a requirement for the department, so we're looking for someone who is adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable contributing wherever needed to keep production moving.

You'll work with metal components, technical drawings, hand and power tools, finishing equipment, and assembled products. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and pride in producing high-quality work.

What You'll Do

  • Read and understand blueprints, CAD drawings, measurements, and production specifications.
  • Grind, sand, and polish metal surfaces to create smooth, high-quality finishes.
  • Inspect materials and finished surfaces for imperfections, defects, or other quality concerns.
  • Prepare parts and surfaces for powder coating and painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and other preparation processes.
  • Work on powder-coating and painting products and parts.
  • Assemble semi-custom products according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and other production machinery.
  • Assist with CNC equipment and processes based on experience and training.
  • Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet production requirements.
  • Cross-train and work within fabrication, finishing, and assembly as production needs change.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate quality issues, material needs, equipment concerns, or potential production delays to the appropriate team members.
  • Work independently and as part of the production team to meet quality standards and production deadlines.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, industrial painting, finishing, or a related production environment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical production drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Experience with powder coating, industrial painting, or paint preparation.
  • Knowledge of powder-coating processes and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify surface imperfections and quality issues.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and production processes.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and consistent workmanship.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive production tasks.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials, parts, and finished products as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with metal grinding, polishing, sanding, and surface finishing.
  • Experience using CNC equipment.
  • Experience working in a custom, semi-custom, or low-volume manufacturing environment.

What Success Looks Like

Our Semi-Custom Production team works differently from a traditional single-station production environment. We expect our Production Associates to develop skills across fabrication, finishing, and assembly and be willing to move between those areas as needed.

You'll be successful in this role if you take pride in your craftsmanship, notice when something isn't right, communicate effectively with your teammates, and care about the quality of the product that ultimately reaches our customer.

If you're hands-on, mechanically inclined, enjoy learning different parts of the manufacturing process, and want to see your work become part of a beautifully finished product, we'd like to hear from you.

Pay Range: $20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
