Pay, Schedule, and Location
- Starting at $61,000- $64,000/year

Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all fresh receiving operations, including inbound scheduling, shipment verification, dock coordination, and product flow management.
- Ensure all inbound loads are received accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
- Monitor receiving productivity, dock utilization, and workflow to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure timely unloading, inspection, palletizing, and staging of all fresh products.
- Review and approve receiving documentation, including bills of lading, temperature records, and shipment paperwork.
- Partner with procurement, inventory control, warehouse operations, and transportation teams to resolve receiving issues and maintain operational continuity.
- Ensure all fresh products meet quality, temperature, and food safety requirements upon arrival.
- Oversee cold chain compliance throughout the receiving process.
- Partner with Quality and Food Safety teams to address product concerns, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation and escalation of shortages, damages, mis-shipments, and quality issues.
- Maintain compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, GMPs, and food safety programs.
- Manage, coach, and develop Receiving Supervisors, Clerks, Forklift Operators, and receiving associates.
- Establish daily priorities, assign responsibilities, and ensure team members are aligned with operational goals.
- Drive accountability through performance management, coaching, and continuous feedback.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of new team members.
- Promote a safe, positive, and high-performing team culture.
- Collaborate with Inventory Control to maintain accurate receiving records, counts, and system transactions.
- Ensure proper labeling, rotation, placement, and storage of fresh products.
- Oversee accurate entry of receiving information into warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Identify inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a strong safety culture by enforcing company safety policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Ensure associates follow proper equipment operation, PPE requirements, and safe work practices.
- Conduct regular safety observations and address unsafe behaviors or conditions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant receiving environment.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators including receiving accuracy, productivity, dock efficiency, quality issues, and service levels.
- Review operational metrics and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation required for audits and compliance.
- Provide leadership updates on receiving performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree or vocational training preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in fresh food receiving, warehouse operations, or distribution environments.
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience required.
- Experience managing teams in a high-volume, temperature-controlled distribution environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fresh product handling, receiving processes, and cold chain management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, receiving processes, and WMS systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient with computer systems and warehouse technology.
- Requires extended periods of standing, walking, and working around warehouse equipment.
- Must be flexible to work varying schedules, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on operational needs.
- Ability to operate effectively in a 24/7 distribution environment
