Founding Principal Full Stack Engineer

Our client, an early-stage healthcare AI startup, is hiring Founding Principal Full Stack Engineers. You'll own major product verticals end-to-end — from practice analytics and AI-powered insights to EHR integrations — working directly with the co-founders to shape both the product and the engineering culture from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing

• Owning entire product verticals end-to-end: roadmap, architecture, execution, and production operations
• Building AI-powered analytics and tooling that gives practice operators the leverage to support 40+ practices instead of 1–2
• Running parallel Claude Code/Codex agent sessions to ship at dramatically higher velocity
• Architecting and deploying full-stack features (Python/React) on AWS with no dedicated DevOps support
• Making product decisions autonomously — spotting opportunities, forming opinions, and shipping without waiting on specs

Key Requirements

• Has built and shipped a product end-to-end (true zero-to-one ownership, not just feature work within a larger team)
• Sophisticated agentic AI workflow — deep, hands-on experience running Claude Code/Codex with parallel sessions and custom tooling, not casual copilot use
• Full-stack fluency across frontend and backend, built from scratch rather than maintained (specific languages don't matter — breadth does)
• High agency and ownership mindset — operates without being told what to do, and is comfortable with early-stage intensity
• 5–10+ years of full-stack engineering experience with product ownership
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure, AWS preferred

• Experience at a high-growth startup or a top-tier tech company
• Has built production features that integrate AI (not just used AI-assisted workflows)
