Transitional Navigator

The Center for Youth: Started BY YOUTH FOR YOUTH. We partner with youth to realize their full potential, by creating opportunities, removing barriers and promoting social justice. Overview: The Re-engaging Teens Restoring Justice Program will focus on youth ages 14-19, who have dropped out/ are at risk of dropping out of school, have been released from/ are participants in the juvenile justice system, are struggling with homelessness and food insecurity, and whose connections with meaningful adults are lacking.Transitional Navigators are part of a community-based team and are assigned to a specific focus area including: school-based programs, runaway and homeless youth programs, teen court/juvenile justice programs, community engagement/teen empowerment or workforce/gun violence prevention programs. Schedule: Full time, 35 hours per week. 12-month position. Responsibilities:Deliver a restorative-based systemCreate and oversee data collection and program evaluation processesProvide monthly reports to the Associate DirectorCoordinate requests for Prevention Education servicesOutreach and information disseminationReferral and referral readinessImmediate response and supportPrevention educationSocial/emotional support servicesCase management Immediate crisis responseAsset development activitiesTransitional servicesRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or related field AND 1-3 years' related experience OR equivalent combination / Master's Degree preferred A valid drivers license Skills: Strong crisis response skillsCase management skills Pay Rate: $22- $24.75 per hour The Center for Youth Provides Equal Employment Opportunities
