Assistant Director of Nursing
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Dennett Rehab Center in Oakland, Maryland. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, the ADON will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will:
Report directly to the Director of Nursing and cover for the Director when they are absent
Create a safe, healthy work environment that supports the delivery of high-quality resident care
Develop a culture that promotes high engagement and growth opportunities for our team members
Supervise and direct nursing personnel to ensure the best possible resident care
Serve as a liaison for all nursing staff and nurse management
Make decisions regarding nursing and unit problems
Participate in facility surveys and communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and resident families
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing
Qualifications/Requirements:
A graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse/RN licensure
Minimum 1 year full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred
Two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing
Experience with Infection Control and Prevention preferred
Excellence in clinical nursing skills required
Experience in Gerontology preferred
