Job Summary:
Peak Healthcare at Fox Chase is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Human Resources Director to join our skilled nursing facility in Silver Spring, MD. As a dual-role position, you will lead HR due diligence and integration planning for new partners, while also managing workforce scheduling and daily staffing for our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to prioritize, problem-solve, and ensure adequate staffing coverage in a fast-paced, 24/7 healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist supervisors and leads in developing and posting schedules in accordance with scheduling and posting guidelines.
Serve as the contact person for daily sick calls and work with employees to resolve scheduling conflicts.
Prioritize and problem-solve scheduling and daily staffing for each unit to provide adequate staffing coverage.
Process time-off requests, identify unit-staffing needs, and maintain and update computerized staffing scheduling systems.
Lead HR due diligence for all new partnerships and new hires, ensuring a smooth integration process.
Build trusting relationships with new teammates, provide people-related integration recommendations, and partner internally to conduct employee-related data analysis.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field (preferred) or relevant experience.
2-3 years' experience with scheduling in a 24/7 healthcare facility (preferred) or scheduling experience in a busy/high-demand organization.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to communicate at all levels, work well in a team, and deal with new tasks without written procedures.
Qualifications:
Preferred at least two (2) years of experience in healthcare. Knowledge of corporate business management preferred.
Exhibit good verbal and written communication and public relations skills.
Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
