The Laundry Aide / Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and proper laundry services throughout the facility. This role ensures residents have clean linens, clothing, and a safe, sanitary living environment in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry

• Maintain cleanliness of laundry room, equipment, and surrounding areas

• Follow infection control procedures when handling soiled linens

• Use proper protective equipment (PPE) as required

• Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly

• Coordinate laundry services with nursing staff

• Attend required meetings and training sessions

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility using proper safety procedures

• Follow infection control and sanitation guidelines

• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and protective equipment

• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Minimum education: 8th grade

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• Ability to work respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors

• Strong attention to detail and reliability

• Prior housekeeping or laundry experience preferred but not required

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and move it up to 50 feet

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks

• Must be able to handle physical and mental demands of the role
