📋 Assignment Details
  • Position: Travel RN – CVOR

  • Department: Open Heart Surgery

  • Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

  • Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts

  • Hours: 40 hours/week

  • Shift: 10-hour shifts

  • Employment Type: Travel Contract

🫀 What You’ll Do

As a CVOR RN, you’ll be an essential member of the cardiovascular surgical team, providing expert nursing care throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures

  • Prepare the operating room, equipment, supplies, and surgical instruments

  • Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative care

  • Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-prevention standards

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team

  • Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies

  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to surgical protocols

  • Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care as required

  • Promote patient safety throughout the surgical experience

⭐ What We’re Looking For
  • Active RN license in the applicable state

  • Current BLS ,ACLS certification

  • Recent CVOR/Open Heart Surgery experience

  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative nursing practices

  • Excellent critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a high-acuity surgical environment

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Commitment to maintaining patient safety and the highest standards of care
