Job Description
The role includes ensuring a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for students before school, during recess, lunch, outdoor activities, and after-school care. This position supports the spiritual, social, and physical development of students, fostering an atmosphere where Christian values guide behavior and interactions.
Hours: Part Time, 20 hours per week

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience working with children is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal relations.
Ability to maintain patience and calmness in dynamic or challenging situations.
Physical capability to stand, walk, and supervise children during active outdoor and indoor activities.
Basic first aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it shortly after hiring.
Ability to enforce school safety rules and manage student behavior with kindness and firmness.
Willingness to collaborate with school staff to support a Christ-centered environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience working with children is preferred but not mandatory.
Faith Commitment: Demonstrated personal commitment to a Christ-centered lifestyle and the ability to model Christian values in daily interactions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle conflicts patiently and with compassion.
Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment.
Calm and composed demeanor in dynamic or stressful situations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and supervise active children in various settings, including outdoor environments.
Certifications: Basic first aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain within a reasonable time after hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Some post-secondary coursework or training in education, child development, or ministry-related fields.
Experience: Previous experience in a faith-based school, childcare, or youth ministry setting.
Proven ability to lead or assist in Christian character development activities or faith-based mentoring.
Advanced conflict resolution and behavior management skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Certifications: Up-to-date first aid, CPR, and possibly other safety-related certifications.
Ability to creatively engage children in spiritual and social development.
Experience working with diverse age groups and adapting supervision techniques accordingly.
Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of school staff and parents.
