PIPEFITTER

Memco Spring is looking to hire a wastewater treatment plant pipefitter that assembles, installs, and maintains high-pressure and process piping systems. They manage specialized materials like PVC, ductile iron, and stainless steel to ensure the safe, leak-free transport of sewage, sludge, and chemical treatments. The role involves interpreting blueprints, and maintaining treatment equipment

Core Responsibilities

• System Assembly: Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using saws, cutting torches, and welding/threading equipment.
• Equipment Installation: Fit and secure process equipment such as pumps, valves, blowers, centrifuges, and belt filter presses.
• Material Handling: Work with diverse piping materials including ductile iron, stainless steel, PVC, copper, and HDPE.
• Compliance & Testing: Conduct pressure and hydrostatic tests. Troubleshoot leaks, clear obstructions, and repair pipe systems.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret complex schematics, isometric drawings, and construction blueprints to layout accurate system dimensions.
• Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety guidelines while handling hazardous waste and working near moving mechanical parts or toxic chemicals.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of documented experience in pipefitting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in pipefitting techniques, and pipe support installation.
• Physical Demands: High physical stamina; must be able to lift up to 50-60 pounds, climb, bend, and work in confined or outdoor spaces.
• Certifications: Valid driver's license, background check, and pre-employment drug screening
