We are partnering with the State of Rhode Island's Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH) to find a detail-oriented Program Specialist to support the implementation and oversight of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs). The ideal candidate will possess strong program management, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration skills, with experience supporting behavioral health initiatives, monitoring regulatory requirements, and coordinating complex projects.

Pay & Job Highlights:
Pay Rate: $37.00 per hour
Location: Cranston, RI

Responsibilities of the Program Specialist:
  • Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and compliance of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs).
  • Coordinate projects across multiple departments and collaborate with state agencies, behavioral health providers, and community stakeholders.
  • Monitor program performance, evaluate outcomes, identify barriers to success, and prepare status reports and recommendations.
  • Maintain program documentation, facilitate meetings and provide technical guidance to participating organizations.
Qualifications of the Program Specialist:
  • Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of experience working with state agencies and behavioral health organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health services, federal and state regulations, compliance standards, grant-funded programs, and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience preparing reports, managing program documentation, facilitating stakeholder meetings, and supporting cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
