Wound Nurse - Virginia Beach Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center

About the Role:
As a Wound Nurse, you will:
Develop and implement wound care programs in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, and procedures
Provide direct nursing care to patients with wounds, including assessment, treatment, and education
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and develop personalized treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound care treatments and patient progress
Participate in wound care meetings, quality assurance programs, and facility committees to improve patient care and outcomes
Additional Requirements:
One year of previous long-term care experience is preferred
Active, unencumbered licensure as a RN in the state of employment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to make independent decisions and work without direct supervision
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government personnel, and the public
Must be knowledgeable of computer systems and applications
Knowledge of equipment used in long-term care (e.g., lifts, wheelchairs, Geri chairs, and scales)
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
Excellent customer service focus
