Job Summary:
Smoky Ridge Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Central Supply/Medical Records Coordinator to join our team in Burnsville, NC. Responsibilities:
Accurately maintain and update medical records, ensuring timely and confidential storage and retrieval of patient information
Coordinate the distribution and tracking of medical supplies, equipment, and pharmaceuticals within the facility
Monitor and manage inventory levels, identifying areas for cost savings and optimizing supply chain logistics
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff, responding promptly to requests and inquiries
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on medical records management and supply chain coordination
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
