Job Title: Site Clerk/Purchasing ClerkDepartment: Site - Kennecott/OperationsReports to: Project ManagerGENERAL PURPOSE OF THIS JOB (Summary)The Site Clerk is accountable for providing administrative support for the project operations and extending this support to the various projects being serviced by this location.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESFunctional ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the activities required to support the efficient operation of the office including, opening, and closing the office, ordering supplies, responding to telephones, mail, Purolator shipments etc.Assists with preparation of invoices and copy for files.Responds to inquiries from Job Seekers and Sales Representatives who drop in looking for contacts and information.Responds to employee requests for information and assists employees wishing to file benefits claims.Reviews time sheets to ensure coding accuracy, enter time sheets, copy time sheets, and send originals to North BayMaintains summary of time worked for both payroll and cost control purposes.Reviews Project log books and reports to ensure accuracy of hours and coding.Completes and send in employee timesheets in supervisor's absence.Helps track and report items to the project budgets.Processes safety and training documentation as required and maintain activity reports.Assists with purchase requisitions and receiving reports of Project supplies.Maintains good working relationships with job sites and suppliers.Supports and assists Project management.Other duties as assigned.Client FocusWorks diligently to respond to client requests and is always helpful in dealing with the client in a timely manner.Identifies and assesses the client needs and works to solve their problems/issues /concerns.HEALTH & SAFETYFully supports and observes Cementation safety policies and the Mining Safety and Health Administration legislation as they apply to the office and how they apply to the Project operations.always Wearing of proper safety equipment.Keeps office area free of hazards and clutter.Uses proper equipment for job, i.e., stepladder vs. chair.Reports hazards.Attends safety meetings as required.QUALIFICATIONSEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred2 years of office administration experience preferred.Skills, Knowledge, & AbilitiesAbility to maintain confidentiality. Decision making and prioritization skills. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong planning and organizing skills Cementation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
