What will you do as a PMC Ultrasound Tech
As a PMC Ultrasound Tech you will serve as an essential part of the patient’s experience by performing sonographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease. While working effectively with patients and patients’ families and maintaining a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.
A day in the life of a PMC Ultrasound Tech may include:
- Performing ultrasound procedures as ordered by PMC physicians, NP’s , or PA’s.
- Obtaining diagnostic sonographic images by scanning the appropriate body part of the patient, utilizing PMC protocols and appropriate imaging equipment.
- Instruct patients as to the proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
- Sending diagnostic ultrasound exams to the radiologist for his/her interpretation.
- Assists in the transfer of the patient to and from a wheelchair to the exam table.
- Obtains essential information from patients, medical records, and previous scans for clinical correlation.
- Correlates pathological findings with sonogram results.
- Being a key piece in the PMC mission by providing the highest quality of care to our patients and the communities we serve.

Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in ultrasound or equivalent
- RDMS registered or registry eligible.
- RVT registered or registry eligible.
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous ultrasound experience is preferred in general, vascular, small parts, and gyn.
- Registry in a minimum of 1 of the following specialties. AB, RVT, OB/GYN is preferred
