Eastland Food Corporation is looking for an outgoing and driven individual to join our team as a Human Resources Officer (Technical Training and Safety Officer).


Technical Training

As part of this role, you will be responsible for building and sustaining a strong training culture within the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Operations team to develop and execute training plans and on-the-job training programs.
  • Identify training needs and skill gaps among Warehouse Associates and propose effective solutions to address them.
  • Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online learning modules.
  • Facilitate training sessions by providing clear instruction, hands-on guidance, and ongoing support to employees at all levels.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback, and implement continuous improvements as needed.
  • Provide an overview of the operations process to all new employees during onboarding.

Safety Management

You will also play a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, assess, and proactively control workplace hazards and risks to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Champion and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization by fostering awareness, accountability, and proactive risk management."

Qualifications

  1. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  2. Ability to identify, assess, and control workplace hazards and risks.
  3. Proficiency in conducting training sessions and developing training materials.
  4. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Experience in safety management and/or training is a plus.
  7. Bilingual is preferred (English, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, or Japanese)
  8. BSc/BA in business administration, social studies, or relevant field; further training will be a plus
