Role OverviewMaterial management is responsible for comprehensive material control, including material purchasing, customs clearance, inventory management and logistics KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Prevent parts shortage/containers shortage (Top priority) - Hot parts monitoring)Load sheet release and truck schedule arrangement and utilization monitoringExpedite, Extra truck order and cancel as well as cost analysisShort/over ship parts control and monitoringEDI, SAP order monitoring, system error analysis and feedbackMaterial master list (usage, BOM etc.) update and error feedbackModel year change, Rev level change, Launch, and Build-Out management.Purchasing ortal (e-Supplier connect), Web CN access and monitoring (Pilot/Prototype sample time schedule control)Safety stock optimization and Min, Max AnalysisObsolescence part control and claim managementGood relationship and communication with customers, suppliers and other teamsInventory Accuracy (Cycle Counting, Inventory Accuracy, Action)Analysis and report root cause of daily cycle counting varianceAnalysis and report regular/irregular physical inventoryPDA cycle counting and verificationLabel inventory stocks for delivery if requiredKPI and ReportingReport inventory turnover days and amount (by weekly/monthly basis)Analyze and report daily cycle counting/physical inventory result, and evaluate root causesMonitoring ASN, GR, Backlog, Hot parts, and parts transfer (by daily basis)Monitoring and verify daily or weekly GR verification (payment if needed)Issue and create DMR, RMA log (daily basis)Extra/Expedite/Cancel load frequency review (by monthly basis)Optimize truck load and utilization (per shipment)Comply with Customer/Department specific document (K-Drive) AUTHORITY & SCOPEThis role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required Supervisory Responsibilities: NoQualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Above-average mechanical aptitude and analytical skills. Knowledge of SAP or PAB processes is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Preferred Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree with 2 years of supervisory experience, or equivalent experience & education.2-5 years of experience in Just in time managementAutomotive industry Experience PreferredCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations: NoneWorking Conditions: Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
